Today, I noticed $FEZ had quite the day with a hefty 81.6K contracts traded in options. That’s some serious action for an ETF, and it definitely makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Is there something brewing that we should be paying attention to? Could this be a precursor to a breakout, or just the usual market ups and downs? What do you all think?

The strongest markets/sectors in the Opportunity Ranges™ today are all above 80% vs. the range. They are $IBB $GDX $KWEB (but it's in a Consolidating DownTrend™) $FEZ $VGK But that also means they are the most stretched. What do you do? #BuyTheSlips as long as the current bounce and overall trend are still intact, and the given index/sector is not pressing up against a key #LevelOfInterest (aka resistance levels, which are actually only potential resistance levels until proven to be or not to be!).

ECB cut its benchmark rate to 3.75% from a record high of 4%
ECB President Christine Lagarde said inflation had eased enough for the central bank to start lowering rates.
But with annual inflation at +2.6% in May & expected to remain above the +2% target into next year, Lagarde declined to indicate how fast or how deep any future rate cuts might be.
“We will keep policy rates sufficiently restrictive for as long as necessary. We are not committing to a particular rate path. Are we today moving into a dialing-back phase? I wouldn’t volunteer that,”

Goldman: Among constituents of the Stoxx Europe 600 index, 350 companies are currently engaged in buybacks. Total cash returns to shareholders in Europe, including dividends & buybacks, are expected to total €650B ($703.01B) this year, which would be a new record. “The number of European companies engaged in buybacks should reach an all-time high. We had a shift after Covid-19 and now companies are buying back their own shares at a pace of €170B over the last 12 months, which is roughly 1.5% of the market capitalization. In Europe, financial & energy companies are doing half of the overall buybacks Factset: Last year, $SHEL was Europe’s biggest buyer of its own stock Around two-thirds of buyback programs outlined by European companies have yet to be completed and this could turn into a lasting tailwind for stocks $FEZ $VGK $EZU $IPKW

The European stocks continue to soar, as evidenced by the ETF $FEZ, which holds the 50 largest companies in the Eurozone. $STOXX The ETF has already accumulated just over +26% in the last 6 months and, having surpassed the multi-year resistance at 45, it seems to still have room for growth. There are two possible immediate targets, based on the Fibonacci retracement, drawn from the resistance to the low of late 2022 and another from the base distance. The first would be around $55, while the second would be around $65.
