@justbaseball25 good job! is that quarterly? im a a day/swing trader but with the market condition im thinking more and more of divi stocks, i only have $agnc for more than a year now and $dx few months ago. any other low risk high yield i can look at that you reccomend? thanks

$AGNC $DX Bookvalueaddicts should reconsider their attitude. It can be manipulated or influenced by completely idiotic (regulatory) measures. For instance the regulators obligation to value assets to market value but it orders ones obligations to be valued at nominal value. Bv is sometimes important though! Like for instance AMBC. Shares are priced halfway BV Possibly hidden extra bookvalue is even more likeable🤑. This means one has to do research... Being long amongst others AMBC, ABR and AGNC. THIS MESSAGE IS TO BE CONSIDERED ADVICE NOR RECOMMENDATION. JUST A PERSONAL OPINION AND STATEMENT OF POSITIONS.

$DX Dynex Capital reports Q1 total economic return of 28c per common share The company's total economic return of 28c per common share for the first quarter of 2024 consisted of a decline in book value of (11c) per common share and dividends declared of 39c per common share. Operating expenses for the first quarter of 2024 included a 5c increase in share-based compensation expense due to accelerated vesting conditions for certain March 2024 grants. Net gains on the company's hedging portfolio exceeded net losses on its investment portfolio by $37.3M. Though the 10-year U.S. Treasury rate increased over 30 basis points during the first quarter, which negatively impacted the fair value of the company's investment portfolio, losses were offset by modest spread tightening on some of the company's investments and gains on U.S. Treasury futures used as interest rate hedging instruments. Book value was also impacted by approximately (7c) per common share from equity issued during the first quarter. Reports book value per common share of $13.20 as of March 31. "We believe Dynex is uniquely positioned for this environment. We are generating income from highly liquid, Agency-guaranteed securities. We have an experienced team, with a stewardship mindset, a disciplined process, and a track record of performance. Our returns this quarter are a result of our preparation and execution of our long-term strategy," said Byron Boston, Chairman and CEO, in an earnings release earlier this morning.

@Imindog truth... Man I wish I could. At best I pick a few stocks that are beaten down and have potential to be big. Then I sell, split the profits, half in high dividends $DX $PHK who pay monthly, 1/4 in index funds and use the other in risk funds. So far it's working.

$DX any idea why this is down ... Not that I care as long as they keep paying over 10% dividend each month. This is my security stock. I keep adding when it goes down like this. They just announced .13 per share this month.

@justbaseball25 i'm thinking of cashing in my cd in my taxable account that pays 5.4% for the $ARR series 'C' preferred that pays 7%. also looking at a few others, like $DX series 'C' that pays 6.90% and $NYMTN that pays 8% and $ECC series 'D' preferred that pays 6.75% and $OXLC preferred that pays 7.125%. Anybody got any thoughts or advice for me?

$SPY $DX In the past, when the dollar broke out of the range, the stock market was statistically bad. This is one of the indicators we are watching with interest. As I am a foreigner, I welcome the rise in the dollar as it brings additional profits.
