$CVGI let's finish the week with a green weekly candle.

$CVGI Chart is pretty cyclical and speaks for itself, but the fact we are this low this time around is the greatest opportunity in public markets imo. Are there stocks with higher growth and return potential? For sure. But they carry significant risk. CVGI carries near 0 risk given their balance sheet and existing backlog. This brings me back to the cyclical nature of the name. The last few times we traded down here include: - 2008-2009, obvious reasons here, and teetering bankruptcy at the time. - 2016, major accounting issues across the company pressuring financial compliance. -2020, COVID. - 2024… why? There are no significant pressures, at least not at the scale of the rest. Factor in the fact that book value is continually growing and is now north of 120% higher than current valuation, you have the best risk-adjusted investment in U.S. markets… no hyperbole. Once end markets recover, the torque in this leaner, streamlined, name will lead to a 200-400%+ rise. $SPY

$CVGI Another solid asset sale today: They are completely streamlining, after they sold cab structures and industrial automation looks like they’re selling another industrial segment. Will be interesting to see what the sale figure is here, should help raise book value further. Management is putting in the work. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/woodson-equity-acquires-commercial-vehicle-153000018.html

$CVGI Midpoint of 2024 guidance is $725m, first 9 months totaled $560m, brings us to a Q4 figure of $165m, which while lower than Q3, is actually extremely positive as the drop from Q3 to Q4 is usually much more pronounced due to seasonality in end markets and overall production slowdowns in the holiday quarter. Anything above $160m for this quarter reflects a rebound in seasonally adjusted sales, and if they were to hit the top end of guidance it would be $180m for the quarter, which is an impressive increase in sales from Q3.

$CVGI Worth noting that insiders bought around 100,000 shares in the last couple of weeks alone. I can name hundreds of trash companies trading at ridiculous valuations with insiders selling as they know the valuation is misaligned, yet retail buys until the music stops. Opposite here, no one seems to want to buy here, but insiders are quietly loading, no sales in the last year and multiple buys every quarter across the BOD and C-suite. The best money to follow is the ones who directly know where the company is headed. $80m valuation is beyond disgusting, and even in the worst of times, which this is, a stock should never trade below tangible book value, plus a slight discount if markets expect slight deterioration. I wouldn’t call $80m a “slight” discount to a $180m book value, let alone the fact that there isn’t even any “deterioration” as even in their worst quarter in years last quarter, they still GREW book value and shareholders equity by nearly 4%. Buy.

$CVGI qtr rev categorized spreadsheet attached. had to go back to ’20 for a similiar bottom in rev. As this visualizes, the bottom did not last long. this end market seems to be correlated to pres election years as of recent. last severe dip was qtr2/qtr3 2016 as well.

$CVGI might test 52 week low. Overall company is pretty solid. I would start accumulating from tomorrow

User Image DrinkWineBeFine Posted - 4 days ago

$CVGI might take a while ... maybe even until next earnings ... for enough people to realize how undervalued these shares currently are. Facts are facts but facts are not necessarily moving the price when no one knows about them...

$CVGI puzzling price action today with how $IWM is trudging higher. Would like a push over $2.50 at some point into close if we can see a volume influx.

$CVGI Looking for that $2.5 break

User Image Moosedaddy Posted - 4 days ago

$CVGI good day to gobble up shares. It MIGHT trend towards 2.30 or a bit below but why risk it over a few cents? This will be low 5’s in less than a year throw 10k at it and buy yourself a new car next year. Thats what I’m doing

User Image Flnt Posted - 4 days ago

$CVGI random thought- selling can be tactical with wash sale: Royce decreased 11% in 3q24. if they use the same money from that sale to buy shares after 31 days, they can claim a million $ loss for ’24, lower their average from 6.90 to 6.31/sh, and increase share count by 55k & hav still hav conviction in cvgi thesis to profit. ”tute selling is not always bearish, thus leading to charts with 30 -40ish day pitfalls ”

User Image da224 Posted - 5 days ago

$CVGI Nice red to green move building here, I’d add anything below $3 really, no point pinching down here for Pennies. As more eyes shift to cyclical sectors, such as agriculture and industrials, end markets will rebound and CVG with exceptionally higher operational leverage than ever before will be able to outperform and grow into a higher valuation under their leaner capital structure.

$CVGI With this trading at $80m now I can pretty much officially say it’s the biggest value disconnect I’ve ever seen. Seen some crazy ones, especially during Covid with many irrational valuations, but none as quite as crazy as this. Fully loaded now with a $2.78 average. Ready to hold for $6.

$CVGI Still think we see 2.20s before this recovers. Keeping extra powder for the dip if it happens. Paytience on this play.

User Image da224 Posted - 1 week ago

$CVGI Rough week so far with $IWM sagging over 4% so far, we’ve held our own, up about 3%. Accumulators dream, but it goes to show that once we get even a small Green Day out of Russell and the broader market we’re going to rip higher.

$CVGI $2.70s have been slow, over that should be $3.10 pretty fast as we fill the gap. Been adding a little today as well, getting average below $2.80 now with portfolio allocation creeping up to 70%, looking to get to about 75% here.
