$BMO $TD With TD, it’s a different case. They were dealing with money launderers and penalized. Buy if you want and hope you bought at the bottom assuming this is it and no more bleeding.

User Image goforapollo Posted - 1 month ago

$BMO $TD That is some pretty bad advice IMHO. This is not financial advice but buying TD at $57.50 is the equivalent of buying BMO on August 28th 2024 after it had a 8% drop in 2 trading days. TD not only had bad news yesterday but it was also ex-dividend day. BMO is trading at $8 below its 52WH and $21 ABOVE its 52WL TD is trading at $5.XX above its 52WL and its 52WH was last week. TD is a better long term play. This will be back above $63 before the end of the year.

User Image jeal168 Posted - 1 month ago

$TD better to invest at $BMO. Performs better than this as of current.

User Image goforapollo Posted - 1 month ago

$TD I went 500 in at $58.95. will do another 500 if it drops further. This is a no brainer for long term. If you are here for a swing trade stick to something more volatile. look at what happened to $BMO at the end of August. $89 to $82 in the span of 2 days having a massive 8% drop only to recover it all in less than 40 days.

$BMO to record an extra C$875M after-tax in 4Q24 - reverses an earlier provision it took in a case related to the scheme orchestrated by disgraced businessman Tom Petters - BMO took the provision in 2022 after a jury found its subsidiary BMO Harris Bank liable for the actions of a predecessor bank. According to the judgement, the plaintiff in the lawsuit, the bankruptcy trustee for Petters’ former company, was barred from recovering funds in the case The reversal should help support $BMO.TSX regulatory capital levels to 13% & increase EPS by C$1.20

$STUDY Just a quick screen of $BMO $BMO.TSX 's ETF's and one can see some very high dividend yields, and obviously 9% is tasty. Be aware that some are very low volume which is typically not a concern if one simply buys and holds to collect the yield.
