A University of California study I linked to earlier, which details how LIDAR detection generates repeated false signals, interfering with the self-driving vehicle's hardware control, and as a consequence, instructing the vehicle to apply "faulty emergency braking". As we have seen with Tesla before. Therefore, I believe that the competitive advantage of LIDARs over radars will be further eroded.

$ARBE In my opinion, the shrinking EV market could be good for the Arbe radar market. EV manufacturers will be forced to look for cheaper manufacturing alternatives, in the face of fierce competition. Based on this reasoning, Arbe could emerge as a winner, as it produces one of the best detection radars in the world and, not incidentally, at the lowest price compared to similar products from competitors. To give one example. A car roof mounted " LIDAR tower" costs 1000usd, while an Arbe AI 4D Imagine radar with a similar function costs 100usd. Besides, radar has a longer range and orders of magnitude better resolution than LIDAR. This is also seen by the insiders. Check out Luminar who are major LIDAR manufacturers. Their stock price has been in a free fall lately due to a steady backlog of orders.
