$AOIFF looks like a very good rate for buybacks. 165,000 per day in Stockholm and likely another 96,000 per day in Canada. That rate buys back about 14% of the shares outstanding per year.
I don't think they'll maintain this rate for very long but very nice for now.

$AOIFF below is an interview with investor relations regarding the recent farmout on block 3B/4B. I really like how this deal turned out. Africa Oil got a good price and was able to retain 17% of their interest. The new operator (TotalEnergies) has experience in the Orange Basin which should increase the chance of exploration success. $AOIFF the three negatives I see in the earnings are:
* No additional insight into the prospectivity of the Venus blocks. I didn't expect any clarity so not shock there.
* Production is expected to continue to fall into next year. Personally, I thought that it would level off due to the infill drilling campaign.
* Net debt increased again in 2024 despite not terribly high exploration and capital expenditure.
I think the second bullet is the biggie but still didn't justify the previous share price much less today's sell-off. Anyone see any other negatives that catches their eye?

$AOIFF looking forward to earnings tonight. Should be a good one. Also hoping that they resume their previous pace of share buybacks. They cut it by 75% about a month ago in anticipation of entering their black out period preceding quarterly results. This is by far the most shares I've ever owned of Africa Oil. Pretty overextended but confident that this will be a good earnings.
