@Garth_Vader I think it is a done deal on Tuesday, October 22. It was $.04 away from that level today, and closed at the lows. This stock continues to aggravate and frustrate the impatient who paid too much for their shares, and reward the patient long-term shareholders who know that this stock goes on sale periodically multiple times each year in the 11s and 12s during the Lula administration. I plan to add a few more shares this week in the $12.40-$12.66 range. This will yield 12% in FY2025 on a $12.66 share price at 32.5 cents per share in quarterly dividends plus 21.92 cents per share in special dividends. That is realistic/achievable based on current price of crude oil and weak BRL/USD. If your cost basis is higher than $15.20, it could be a tall order to achieve a 10% annual dividend yield going forward without a stronger BRL/USD and higher price of oil. There is clearly more upside potential for the dividend from here, than downside...especially with lower CAPEX in 2025. $pbr

$PBR This price action is puzzling me. Many very good news as of late, USD weakening vs BRL, oil going up. Yet PBR is acting up.

$PBR.A Added 1,000 more at $12.90 a minute ago. I still think it is heading to $12.66, but I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to add more below $13.00 in case I am wrong. $PBR

@Remdog420 So, you don't think a 15% drop in the BRL/USD since January 1, a flat price of Brent crude, and another change in the CEO this year are the causes for the share price being down 20%? Sometimes, the explanation is right in front of you - no need to go looking for a conspiracy to explain it. All of the positive media attention and analyst upgrades in the world aren't going to lift the share price until the BRL/USD and price of crude oil strengthen, neither of which are likely to happen before next year. That's only 2 1/2 months away, so let's see what happens after the newly elected congress is seated and the new POTUS is inaugurated in mid January 2025. New policies are likely to impact the value of the USD one way or another as well as the demand for crude oil and refined products. Until then, expect to see $PBR/$PBR.A continue to tread water in this range.

$PBR what’s not to love about these dividends?

User Image Remdog420 Posted - 1 week ago

$PBR Brazil's oil and gas production has hit the highest level ever with oil output increasing 18.6%Y/Y to 3.51 million barrels per day while natural gas production grew 13.6%Y/Y to 154.08 million cubic meters per day. https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Brazils-Petrobras-Cuts-2025-Capex-By-4-Billion.html. Back in July, BofA upgraded PBR shares to Buy from Neutral with a $17.90 price target (21% upside from current price), raised from $16.80, citing important developments since the CEO change which have helped ease concerns on corporate governance, fuel pricing and dividends. We are down 20% because of the fake news propaganda Reuter's put out in February, March, they should be held accountable for insider trading as whoever they were working for made a killing selling this short.

$PBR $PBR.A We buying here or waiting? 🤔

User Image Investor77777 Posted - 1 week ago

@NoMoEngr No, but selling the LEAP out-of-the-money puts sure is. I'm still holding $15 PBR puts that I sold for $6.12 on October 31, 2022. They will either expire worthless in just over two months, or I will buy 2100 shares of $PBR at a deep discount (a $14.50 $PBR close on 12/20/2024 = $9.38 net price per share for me if I allow those 2100 shares to be put to me on that day). I can't lose either way unless $PBR craters between now and 12/20/2024 and closes below $8.90 per share. $PBR.A

$PBR why is this going down today?

User Image Investor77777 Posted - 1 week ago

$PBR $PBR.A Does anyone know what average price of Brent crude the Petrobras earnings forecasts are based upon for FY2024 and FY2025? Clearly, the persistent weakness in oil prices and BRL/USD continue to weigh on the share price of PBR/PBR.A. But, if $70-75 average price of Brent crude is the assumption used for the EPS forecasts going out through FY2025, then the share price should already reflect that. I'm just wondering if a persistent range of $70-75 Brent crude (which, let's face it, is far more likely than a range of $85-95 in 2025) would cause a meaningful miss in EPS over the coming quarters, which would in turn put additional pressure on the stock price (with presumably a floor of $12.00 on $PBR.A shares).

User Image dflipflop Posted - 1 week ago

@PermianTrader this stock is not the flip day trade it used to be. Turned itself into a long hold divi paying machine. Not as good as $PBR but not bad really. Especially if you load cheap on those manipulated tanks.
