@Pantare I really like them as a long term play! I’m furious about the dip though - I had 4 plans for the week - buying $AL or $NOAH or $TH for a weekly swing but decided on Grab. Hopefully it’ll pay off.

$NOAH Despite decent numbers, given how other China names have reacted recently, cut and run at 11.95-12 for 20% quick gain on a decent enough position. Probably getting out to soon and will revisit after dividend or on drop. Save me tons on LU recently and seens like a pattern on move and drop on big dividend plays.

$NOAH Outstanding shares about 70M, total dividend announced is 142.4M. If my math is correct, we are getting ~$2.03. Sweet! I am getting paid while I am waiting for the Chinese market to appreciate. There is no freaking opportunity cost here.

$NOAH Not a great earning but this is a solid value play. Finally Chinese companies are slowly waking up to reward shareholders. On March 26, 2024, the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board") approved an annual dividend of approximately RMB509.0 million (US$71.7 million) in total, which is equivalent to 50% of full year 2023 non-GAAP net income attributable to Noah shareholders, in accordance with the capital management and shareholder return policy (the "Policy") adopted on November 29, 2023. The Board has also approved a non-recurring special dividend of approximately RMB509.0 million (US$71.7 million) in total. The annual and special dividend payment plan will be reviewed during and announced after the Annual General Meeting, which is expected to be held in June 2024.

$NOAH well, there you go. Big short going into earnings. Put options haven't moved a penny. I look for a healthy beat, SP drops 15%, puts payout next to nothing and share price hits all time now on a 4pe. Sound about right?

$NOAH Given the apparent desire for Congress to continue to put pressure on Chinese secondary markets, I've decided to divest some ETF positions and find credible dividend / earnings plays deep in their portfolios. NOAH seems to have turned a corner with respect to investor treatment. Going to tread carefully as earnings day has been the take-down point for China equity across the board regardless of results.
