$CMRE Costamare reports Q3 adjusted EPS 68c vs. 46c last year Reports Q3 revenue $538.4M vs. $397.3M last year. Gregory Zikos, CFO of Costamare, commented: "During the third quarter of the year, the Company generated Net Income of about $80M. As of quarter end, liquidity was above $1B. In the containership sector, with idle vessels of less than 1%, the fleet can still be considered as 'fully employed'. The market is split between the larger sizes which remain in limited supply, and smaller vessels where the availability of tonnage is greater. As the pool of bigger tonnage is unable to meet demand, charter rates continue to evolve at firm levels. During the quarter we chartered 7 containerships at healthy levels. The new charter agreements are expected to generate incremental contracted revenues of above $165M. The containership fleet employment stands at 100% and 94% for 2024 and 2025, respectively. Total contracted revenues amount to $2.3B with a remaining time charter duration of 3.3 years. On the dry bulk side, we progress with our strategy to renew the owned fleet and increase its average size; during the quarter we agreed to acquire two 2014 and 2015 built Ultramax vessels and one 2011-built Capesize ship, while progressing with the disposal of smaller tonnage. CBI manages a fleet of 56 ships, the majority of which are on index-linked charter-in agreements. We have a long-term commitment to the sector, and we view the vessel-owning and the trading platform as highly complementary activities. Finally, with regards to Neptune Maritime Leasing, the platform continues to grow with committed funding for 32 shipping assets, reflecting total funding commitments exceeding $410M on the back of a healthy pipeline."

$CMRE Costamare reports Q2 EPS 77c vs. 56c last year Reports Q2 revenue $509.3M vs. $365.94M last year. Gregory Zikos, Chief Financial Officer of Costamare Inc., commented: "During Q2, the company generated Net Income of about $91M. As of quarter end, liquidity was above $1.1B. In the containership sector, continued vessel diversions around Africa and an early peak season, with higher than expected cargo demand, have resulted in charter rates remaining on an upward trajectory against a backdrop of short supply of prompt tonnage. During the quarter, we chartered on a forward basis seven containerships for a minimum period of between 2 to 3 years. The new charter agreements are expected to generate incremental contracted revenues of above $220M. The containership fleet employment stands at 100% and 88% for 2024 and 2025, respectively, and total contracted revenues amount to $2.4B with a remaining time charter duration of 3.5 years..Finally, with regards to Neptune Maritime Leasing, the platform has been steadily growing, having currently funded 25 shipping assets for a total amount of approximately $285 million on the back of a healthy pipeline."

$CMRE I believe they report tomorrow pre-market: Costamare price target raised to $14 from $12 at Stifel Stifel analyst Benjamin Nolan raised the firm's price target on Costamare to $14 from $12 and keeps a Hold rating on the shares. Shipping markets continue to be "reasonably solid across the board" as demand is "healthy, if not robust," while supply growth has generally been limited, the analyst tells investors in a Q2 shipping group preview.

$CMRE $INSW "Should Value Investors Buy Costamare (CMRE) Stock? Zacks Equity Research Tue, Jul 9, 2024, 10:00 AM EDT: Here at Zacks, we focus on our proven ranking system, which places an emphasis on earnings estimates and estimate revisions, to find winning stocks. But we also understand that investors develop their own strategies, so we are constantly looking at the latest trends in value, growth, and momentum to find strong companies for our readers. Of these, perhaps no stock market trend is more popular than value investing, which is a strategy that has proven to be successful in all sorts of market environments. Value investors rely on traditional forms of analysis on key valuation metrics to find stocks that they believe are undervalued, leaving room for profits. Luckily, Zacks has developed its own Style Scores system in an effort to find stocks with specific traits. Value investors will be interested in the system's "Value" category. Stocks with both "A" grades in the Value category and high Zacks Ranks are among the strongest value stocks on the market right now. One company value investors might notice is Costamare (CMRE). CMRE is currently sporting a Zacks Rank of #1 (Strong Buy), as well as an A grade for Value. The stock is trading with P/E ratio of 5.43 right now. For comparison, its industry sports an average P/E of 7.97. Over the past year, CMRE's Forward P/E has been as high as 5.78 and as low as 3.35, with a median of 4.13. Value investors also frequently use the P/S ratio. This metric is found by dividing a stock's price with the company's revenue. This is a prefered metric because revenue can't really be manipulated, so sales are often a truer performance indicator. CMRE has a P/S ratio of 1.04. This compares to its industry's average P/S of 1.42. Finally, investors should note that CMRE has a P/CF ratio of 3.56. This data point considers a firm's operating cash flow and is frequently used to find companies that are undervalued when considering their solid cash outlook. This company's current P/CF looks solid when compared to its industry's average P/CF of 11.52. Over the past 52 weeks, CMRE's P/CF has been as high as 3.79 and as low as 1.53, with a median of 2.10. Another great Transportation - Shipping stock you could consider is International Seaways (INSW), which is a # 2 (Buy) stock with a Value Score of A. International Seaways sports a P/B ratio of 1.60 as well; this compares to its industry's price-to-book ratio of 2.72. In the past 52 weeks, INSW's P/B has been as high as 1.78, as low as 1.09, with a median of 1.43. These are just a handful of the figures considered in Costamare and International Seaways's great Value grade. Still, they help show that the stock is likely being undervalued at the moment. Add this to the strength of its earnings outlook, and we can clearly see that CMRE and INSW are impressive value stocks right now.

$CMRE From Simply Wall Street: "Costamare Is Due To Pay A Dividend Of $0.115" Costamare Inc. has announced that it will pay a dividend of $0.115 per share on the 6th of August. Including this payment, the dividend yield on the stock will be 2.7%, which is a modest boost for shareholders' returns. While the dividend yield is important for income investors, it is also important to consider any large share price moves, as this will generally outweigh any gains from distributions. Investors will be pleased to see that Costamare's stock price has increased by 49% in the last 3 months, which is good for shareholders and can also explain a decrease in the dividend yield. -- Costamare's Dividend Is Well Covered By Earnings -- While yield is important, another factor to consider about a company's dividend is whether the current payout levels are feasible. However, prior to this announcement, Costamare's dividend was comfortably covered by both cash flow and earnings. This means that most of its earnings are being retained to grow the business. Looking forward, earnings per share is forecast to rise by 8.9% over the next year. If the dividend continues on this path, the payout ratio could be 14% by next year, which we think can be pretty sustainable going forward. -- Dividend Volatility -- The company has a long dividend track record, but it doesn't look great with cuts in the past. The annual payment during the last 10 years was $1.08 in 2014, and the most recent fiscal year payment was $0.46. The dividend has shrunk at around 8.2% a year during that period. A company that decreases its dividend over time generally isn't what we are looking for. -- The Dividend Looks Likely To Grow -- Dividends have been going in the wrong direction, so we definitely want to see a different trend in the earnings per share. Costamare has seen EPS rising for the last five years, at 80% per annum. Earnings have been growing rapidly, and with a low payout ratio we think that the company could turn out to be a great dividend stock. -- Costamare Looks Like A Great Dividend Stock -- In summary, it is good to see that the dividend is staying consistent, and we don't think there is any reason to suspect this might change over the medium term. Earnings are easily covering distributions, and the company is generating plenty of cash. All in all, this checks a lot of the boxes we look for when choosing an income stock.
