$BEST so what happened to this turd? I'm being serious. I never should have been in this and I have moved on but I see it's still trading. I see they had $321M cash and the market cap is still $40m, but still losing $100M per year or something like that. So how do they accept a buyout for $2.88 (~$50m) when they have 321M cash? Is the difference to cover their debts and stuff like that?

$BEST Wow......I'm astonished to see that this garbage still exists!

User Image Investor6 Posted - 2 weeks ago

$BEST win-win situation for anyone buying now. If the go-private offer been accepted, then he gets $2.88, if it doesn't, the stock will be the most undervalued Chinese ADR by far and it will move. Only problem will be a long-waited period without a decision.

@RaroMalo BABA is buying the remaining shares in Cainiao. Probably trying for backdoor listing in the US via $BEST merget instead of the shitty Hang Seng index

$BEST they dropped plans to IPO. Now look to add assets at a sizeable discount....for a future IPO. Makes sense to me. BEST cam counter offer $10 they sell at 5.

User Image Tatinand Posted - 03/28/24

$BZUN what do $doyu $best and $Bzun have in common? Apparently little, but all three are going to end robbing its shareholders with a ridiculous buyout offer “at a premium”. $Best has been the firts. Remember my words.

User Image Investor6 Posted - 03/28/24

$BEST It seems like a few holders sell after the results, while they are irrelevant with the stock now. I was lucky enough to grab some shares at $2.07.

User Image KimJ03 Posted - 03/28/24

$BEST Actually they improved a lot in revenues, margin and gross profit. Honestly a decent ER. Things may start to look good from here. Sadly, Johnny hastily bowed to Alibaba looking for a cheap way out when the company is starting to look interesting

$DOYU I have already seen this movie before in $BEST. Step 1: perform an RS. Step 2: run the company like a real circus without about the shareholders. Step 3: Wait for the shorts to do their job and destoy the marketcap. Step 4: Study a ridiculous purchase offer and accept it. This is how these disgusting Chinese complete the robbery. Do you think they care about their Western shareholders? And where is the SEC?

User Image Investor6 Posted - 03/28/24

$BEST Now supposedly the Special Committee will evaluate the audited results before they propose the acceptance of the go-private offer. One way or the other, the yearly results announcement brings the deal closer.

User Image JohnTill Posted - 03/27/24

$BEST Guessing these numbers lock in the buyout. Margins improved, cash flow positive, revenue jumped, gross profits doubled, under book/cash, etc. Loss will disappear when absorbed and restructured. Just close it and get it over with.

$BEST I think it is reaching the minimum time is required between the formation of a committee and an announcement that the buyout proposal is accepted. That is four months. When the suitor is an insider and can easily secure the majority he needs for the voting, then the procedure doesn't take too long.

$BEST So, someone explains to me why a buyers group that includes Alibaba, Cainiao, and Danish and knows the company inside and out would back away from this $2.88 deal given BEST is down to an MC of $41 million given the books and massive revenue? With a little cleanup and the correct partner, this could be very profitable quickly. Maybe I am the sucker at the poker table but I have built up a very decent position over the last three weeks sitting at low bid collecting shares and now at a $2.077 avg. Gunning for the 40% profit on a buyout and worth the short-term downside risk from these levels if the deal fails. Unless there is news will continue to buy if we head under $2.

$DOYU The only plan here, of which the Chinese are lovers, is to steal our shares. It's a shame that the market allows it. By buying back shares they could make it rise to $1 in the blink of an eye, but the RS allows them, with the help of the shorts, to continue destroying its value and one day make a ridiculous offer for it, as happens in $BEST

$BEST seems like nobody trusts this company enough even for a 28% buyout gain

User Image Investor6 Posted - 1 month ago

$BEST had to submit to the NYSE a business plan as to how the Company intends to regain compliance with the Market Cap and Equity Criteria, until January 15. Does anyone know anything about this issue? If they haven't done it, then they will be delisted in a few months.

$BEST Kroll was hired to provide a fairness opinion on the price being offered to shareholders to take BEST private. At $2.88/share, that represents a valuation of 0.052x Price-to-Sales ($0.057B offer / $1.08B FY22 Revenue). Compare this with ZTO, a Chinese competitor, which is currently trading at ~3.21x P/S ($15.8B market cap / $4.92B FY22 Revenue). I get it, the companies are different (ZTO turns a profit and BEST does not), but that valuation discrepancy is HUGE (by a magnitude of over 60x). What do you guys think the chances are that Kroll’s Risk and Financial Advisory group provides a negative fairness opinion (i.e., recommends that the Board should not to accept the transaction)? Because by the looks of it, it would seem that any sane mind would not accept the deal that BEST is being offered.

$BEST I was never a fan of BEST but with Alibaba, Cainiao and Danish part of the buyers group and MC of only $41 million I like the risk/reward for this closing for 35% gain. First time owning this despite watching for years. In at avg. 2.10 over the past few days for a very moderate position. With China heating up again the downside on this not closing seems worth it. Will hold for closing news and do not expect it to get raised or competing offers given the buyers groups and current ownership. This bites for old shareholders who got completely screwed on this deal.

User Image Investor6 Posted - 2 months ago

$BEST 💰 The insiders offer $2.88 per share. I think the chances to not be accepted this offer are very very few. There are also some chances the price of the offer to be a bit higher, like in other similar cases, for legal reasons. About a 5% increase is ok. The average time for such procedures is about six months. Now we are near to close four. So, I think that here you can park some cash for two to three months and get a nice 30% gain, by buying around $2.20.

$BEST Nothing more here. No buyers no sellers. Trajectory changes only with a profitable ER. Since they only make $20+ million in losses, they can turn profitable in the right condition. Nothing to see here for now
