@BigErma what do you mean by keeping it all on the table? Pershing square has sold like 400,000 shares of $CMG just in the last year. And they haven't added to their position at all in the last 3 years. And their avg is 300-500 You are not set up to win if you just entered this stock within the last year...sell your shares and buy some puts...

$CMG Time to short chipotle

User Image GoldenProspector Posted - 14 hours ago

$CMG I’ve scrapped eating at all fast foods except in n’ out and Chipotle(many of my friends have done the same). You have one more strike chipotle, then you get banned next. The size of the burritos are almost at “taquito” size. Paying more for the same is one thing, but paying more for less is against my religion. Skimping across the board, not just with the protein.

Watching some of these videos that are promoting boycotting $CMG... in the comments sections there are workers saying how they have to be careful with their portions or they'll get fired. yes, it's still management/location-dependent but you can't deny there is a corporate initiative to widen profit margins to an extreme. they are flying too close to the sun, and unless it gets fixed quickly they are going to pay the price in the long run. It might not be soon, but consumers are fickle and once you lose them, they're not coming back. And CMG is starting to lose customers.

$CMG has a spinning top white candlestick pattern on May 17. This indicates a potential reversal from the previous bearish trend. A spinning top white candlestick is a pattern that indicates indecision in the market, with the bulls and bears both pushing the price up and down during a given period, but ultimately the closing price ends up very close to the opening price. It has a small body with almost equal shadows, and it represents a period where the security's price has closed at a higher level than where it had opened. This candlestick can signal a potential price reversal if it occurs following a price advance or decline. It can also signal a significant trend change, especially if it appears at the top of an uptrend or the bottom of a downtrend.

$CMG This stock will hit 3300.00 pre split. At 70.00 a share , there is going to be a lot of buyers looking to jump in. Why? Because the chain is growing by leaps and bounds. A man has over 11 billion in this company and has said CMG is a hold for the next decade. They will continue to grow and will 100% hit that 7000 store target in the next 10-15 years. And that doesn’t include the vast potential outside the USA. My prediction is that once this splits, it hits 500.00 by the end of the decade.

$CMG $SPY don’t you think that it’s properly priced now look at the run up it’s sad over the last three months. For that matter the past 12 months that’s not normal.

@Boardroommaster $85 or ~10%, $95 or ~20%, and some hopeful $105 plays. I have 5 puts at $74 just in case. But, with a similar share structure (MC 8B float 75M, 10.7% insider and 73.7% institutional, 15% short) to $CMG (MC 88B, $Float $27M; 0.65 insider, 91% institutional ownership, 2.8% short) and $SG (MC 3B, Float 97M, 89.28% institutions, 3% insider, 16% short) I think $CAVA earning knock it out the park,, I could see a 20%+ jump. As thier profit margins are better than $SG, not as good as $CMG but both saw their stocks go up after earnings as revenue per share was 5 and 370 respectively. Currently CAVA has a revenue per share of 12. So, if they can increase this, then their shares are more valuable. Many other factors in play.

User Image Mcoomx01 Posted - 1 day ago

@wallstreetstock007 @Honest_Bull @packerstack the locations I've been to, $CMG and $CAVA have longer lines. $SG has shorter lines but have a higher price point. I think their bowls are $14-$15. $CMG and $CAVA about $11-$12 for a bowl and cup of water. I go to $SG less regularly, more like a weekend meal. While I split $CAVA and $CMG fairly equally.

User Image Mcoomx01 Posted - 1 day ago

@packerstack @wallstreetstock007 @Honest_Bull I went to $CMG my portions are still like eating 1.5 bowls for 1.. there is a growing sense for me that it really depends on the franchise. If they want to clamp down on portions, I don't go to that location. And you can see the difference in the lines at the locations that make you feel like you are getting ripped off and the locations that make you feel like you are getting better value. $SG and $CAVA do a good job keeping my expectations in line. And I still go to all.

User Image Mcoomx01 Posted - 1 day ago

@The_Illusive_Mang $SG stayed relatively flat days leading up to thier earnings. I'm expecting this week to be flat for $CAVA, while everyone's attention is on $CMG and the split vote on the 6th of June.

$CMG great analysis 🤦🏻‍♂️

User Image Superdog808 Posted - 1 day ago

$CAVA I’ve heard a rumor going around that if you eat Cava for 3 days in a row you will have massive dumps, not sure if this is true or not. Hoping $CAVA can avoid the same stigma that $CMG has had to deal with over the years.

$CMG still on course !!!! Don’t fight the trend!

User Image Ortho91 Posted - 1 day ago

$CMG still stand by my analysis!!!! Don’t fight the trend with any mega cap split company til after the split. They have all pumped prior to split then some profit taking goes on for about a week or two max. 👍🏻💪🏻👍🏻

@Honest_Bull $CMG is flying on the hopes of split approval vote on the 6th of june

User Image JoeLee90 Posted - 1 day ago

$CMG Hard to trade short term. Very simple: Chipotle restaurant is worth $26M per location, trading around 70 P/E. Economy: Job openings lowest level in 3 years; Inflation around 3.5% (actually higher than this); First things people cut from Budget when things are tight: EATING OUT. Hedge FUNDs: Lowering their positions; INSIDERS: NET SELLERS; RETAIL: OF COURSE BUYING ON THE HOPE; Revenue: YOY up around 10% (not because people are eating more burritos only but for company increasing prices - inflation) while Stock is up 50%+ over same time period. Reasons why this is holding up so well are: so big guys slowly liquidate their position till stock split and few thereafter - after that KABOOOOM red candles for couple years. They you will start seeing articles on CNBC hindsight pointing to RETAIL INVESTORS being greedy for stock fall )
