Im a crypto bull but I already know that if BTC threatens USD we end all access, make it illegal to trade, shut it down in business and then ITS DEAD remember countries go to war if their economy is threatened by foreign entities. @Trade_Stocks_Like_A_Man VIX is just the Implied volatility in $SPX options. $SPY can diverge from what SPX options are doing. SPY does not influence VIX directly but obviously they are correlated since the largest $$ SPY trades are from volatility algos and MM delta neutral computers and BOTH those are trading SPY shares, SPY/SPX options which moves SPY price the most!!! Both SPX and SPY option $$ game is HUGE, its bigger than the $$ trading 1000+ stocks.

@ShortThymos @jjsurf8311 think of this, I can simply buy $spy ITM call debit spreads out 1 month, do this every week (out 1 month) , 52 spreads rolling none stop and if the market is FLAT for the year I make 30%!! there is no loss as the process of doing it 52 times in an index designed to "V" back to ATHs makes it a zero risk game. You can't create this kind of risk free trading with shares and you need INSANE margin to make 30% on a trade. In $UVXY every spike creates a 100% winner in options many times a year...what is the MAX % ever made in shorting shares, you need to sit on the short a long time to generate real profits. Options can move 50% in a day and we just roll, adjust.
