However this was largely just based on static file analysis. Since then, companies like Crowdstrike, Sentinel One, and others have evolved through the stages of first EDR (granular monitoring of process and user activity + detecting based on what a process does, not just what the file looks like), then XDR (integrating AD, firewalls, etc…) and then asset and inventory management, secops for tool deployment and much more. In that time, cylance has simply fallen years behind largely due to lack of proper investment by blackberry who simply purchased it as a cash grab and started selling it for home use. That was shortly after S1 first released Deep Visibility etc and over th years Cylance has simply sunk into the ether as another outdated file focused tool with nothing to address modern problems. $PANW $CRWD $PLTR
