$WYNN $MLCO $LVS $MGM Not a fan of Beijing or compliant Macau politics, and haven't owned any of the Macau names as an investment since the day they had 50 or so excavators doing rapid site work to urgently build the tilt up Wuhan batS covid hospital... But given the reasonable stability of Vegas these days (sans any Asian whale play), the fact that the WYNN reorts are the only ones our friends and us stay at when we go for a night or two, the visible easing of travel restrictions and financial chikeholds in Macau, and other clear actions of the PRC to restore the mega gaming tax receipts from Macau resorts (even the quality punters are booking whale players in again!), and the reality that GGR is already approaching pre-Covid levels without much in the way of junket revenues yet, it has become just warm and fuzzy enough for me to put on a small slug of WYNN (I historically liked the MLCO franchise too), as an "investment." Spec alloc only, but long 1500 at $96.90 on today's redip.

$MLCO $GRAB $SE I've been very bullish on all 3, SE is further along so less upside for now, but Singaporean stocks are running with less geopolitical risk than China

$MLCO it appears that we are wrapped up in a sector bias situation, which will soon turn. All casinos are not being treated fairly.

User Image BobStillSizzlin Posted - 1 week ago

$MLCO I swear this stock has been relegated to controlled trading. Moves up and down in larger %’s totally premeditated. Very little trading from retail or institutions. I think this is a byproduct of years of control by a single owner. It does get swept up in baskets of Chinese stocks when they rally and sell off, but aside from that there seems to be very little tension between buyers and sellers.

$MLCO So many good things going for Melco, this could double by February.

@BobStillSizzlin Cyprus never produced a lot of revenue, I don’t think it matters all that much. It’s all about Macau. Wynn is pretty much tapped out in the US and likely will get worse from here as economy cools. $MLCO on the other hand will keep becoming more profitable as Chinese economy improves and they bring the crowds back. They opened up a bit late and now finally ramped up their comps. The coming quarters will be making a huge difference for Melco because of their concentration in Macau and late reopening. They have about $3b in extra debt since 2019 and some additional capacity. I think they should be able to pay that off in about 3 years. They have no major expenses coming up and should see a huge bump in profit. If everything stays as it is today they should be trading well above $20 in the next couple of years iMO. They are the best casino investment right now if one can handle Macau risks.

$MLCO This IPO’d at $17…..20 years ago. Barely paid any dividends over that period. Lesson on investing in a rich Asian owner’s company with full control. 20 years later company has $10B in debt and a $3B market cap. At the time it IPO’d at $17 in 20004 all it had were Mocah clubs, not even an operational casino. Today they have IR’s in several markets and stock is half of what it was 20 years ago. Lesson: Never trust a HO! 😂
