$CVX US drillers add oil and gas rigs for first time in four weeks - Baker Hughes
May 17 (Reuters) - U.S. energy firms this week added oil and natural gas rigs for the first time in four weeks, energy services firm Baker Hughes (BKR.O), opens new tab said in its closely followed report on Friday.
Shale production, which represents about three-quarters of total U.S. oil output, is rising due to improved well productivity. Production per new rig in the Permian basin that straddles West Texas and New Mexico, is expected in June to reach the highest monthly output per rig since November 2021.🏋️🏋️

$CVX Crude oil prices were on the climb today, set for a weekly gain on signs of strong demand coming from economic reports in key markets.
If the week does end with an overall gain, it would be the first one in three weeks, according to Reuters.
"WTI crude oil prices seem to have found a near-term floor/support at around US$78.40/barrel after a 9%+ decline from 26 April in the past week due to several encouraging factors such as two consecutive weeks of decline in U.S. crude oil stockpile and more upcoming 'piecemeal' stimulus measures from China," OANDA analyst Kelvin Wong told the publication.

@samkaching wow, written like a copy paste from a paid intern to protect the hedge funds tmrw from manipulating the “bizarre meme mania” even more. I find it more bizarre that the market pumped 5x when a global lockdown was announced and inflation thru the roof and no one spending money in the economy on things other than toilet paper. And u have a problem with the bizarre things happening heavily shorted stocks. By the way, MW pumped an article saying new short interest in $CVX , so should we pump chevron? Or should we let oil companies go bankrupt and let movie theaters and game stores survive because they are the only things providing happiness to some people in this bizzare world. 🥸

$PBR the pres wants a puppet that will lower dividend yields. The ceo who got fired knows most people invest in this company due to dividend yields and they would leave if you lower it below 5%. I would get the hell out before the mass exodus. This pres thinks they are a trusted $XOM or $CVX type company and country 😂
