$EXPR I did find this reddit thread. Reading through some of the comments was interesting. At least half were big fans of expr.. anyway one person mentioned (sorry I should have screenshot but I didn't think of it) they had received an email from Expr saying he needs to use his Express CC by 4/19 or it would be closed down. Maybe that date is just coincidence but maybe not?

$EXPR got to be close to announcing bk or whatever they are planning. Looked at previous companies in similar situations, usually about 1-2 months from speculation to actual news.

$EXPR "they" could suck up half the float for pennies and offer a 10$ take private deal for the remainder costing like 15mln just to avoid court involvement which would cost much more. Market cap is absolute bonkers here IMO.

$EXPR shareholder value was wiped out upon their declaration of BK. So if express goes BK, the current shares traded on OTC become worthless. However, express emerges from BK with clean slate but prior holders wiped out.

$EXPR One example of a consumer clothing company that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy but managed to keep its common stock intact is J.Crew Group Inc. In 2020, J.Crew filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection due to mounting debt and declining sales exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. After restructuring its debt and operations, J.Crew emerged from bankruptcy with its common stock still trading, albeit with existing shareholders experiencing significant dilution.

$EXPR Another example is the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of Delta Air Lines in 2005. In this case, Delta Air Lines emerged from bankruptcy with its common stock still trading. However, similar to the GM example, existing shareholders experienced significant dilution as part of the restructuring process. The company issued new shares, and creditors often received equity stakes in exchange for their claims, leading to a reduction in the ownership percentage of existing shareholders.

$EXPR One example where the original common stock survived during a Chapter 11 bankruptcy is the case of General Motors (GM) in 2009. Despite filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, GM managed to restructure successfully, and its common stock remained intact. However, existing common shareholders experienced significant dilution as part of the restructuring process. While the original common stock survived, its value was substantially reduced due to the issuance of new shares and the restructuring of the company's debt.

$EXPR So there are 2 stores down the street from each other in El Paso where that store closed for rent due. Wonder if this was a calculated move to shutter under-performing stores with complicated lease exit constraints (i.e. just stop paying until they get their 50M from IRS and fix it later). That would leave 1 company store and 1 outlet store in that area (according to Google Maps). Last ER said the online sales performance trends were trending up if I remember right?
