$ECC Maybe somebody smarter than I can decipher this! What does it all mean? "Eagle Point Credit Company Inc. and its related entities, identified in Section I.B. below, hereby request an order (the “Order”) pursuant to Sections 17(d) and 57(i) of the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended (the “Act”)1 and Rule 17d-1 thereunder2 authorizing certain joint transactions that otherwise would be prohibited by either or both of Sections 17(d) and 57(a)(4) as modified by the exemptive rules adopted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act." "In the absence of the relief sought hereby, in many circumstances the Regulated Funds would be limited in their ability to participate in attractive and appropriate investment opportunities. Section 17(d), Section 57(a)(4) and Rule 17d-1 should not prevent BDCs and registered closed-end investment companies from making investments that are in the best interests of their shareholders." https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1604174/000110465924050650/tm2412263d1_40appa.htm

$OXLC $ECC Not expecting much out of these until 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 month-end. Up and/or down a few pennies would be my guess. Great support at the current prices. Hang On Sloopy! Enjoy while you wait!!! 🍀🍀🥃 https://youtu.be/8a2o_26Uf6Q?si=s71V5Z3_noSllpie

$ECC added today.

Again adding small to most everything with more to $ECC and OXLC just to even out cost basis. Tomorrow declaration day for QDTE the weekly payer that I have been adding to most every day along with FEPI as it dives down with all the NASDAQ offerings. These will probably take a rate cut to start going up. Been adding to KLIP most every day very small.

$ECC I can't believe that Merrill blocked people from buying this. $ECC has treated me well since I have owned it. My money should = my decisions.

Correction on my last post for $ECC I was a little pissed, to say the least. Instead of to say the list...

$ECC I tried to buy some ECC today in my Merrill acount went to hit the buy button and I get the error message that this CEF is blocked, and they won't allow me to trade it! I am really getting tired of this shit!! I called Merrill, they said they consider ECC to be a risky investment and they won't allow anyone to invest in it, I was a little pissed, to say the list I am looking at transferring my Self directed IRA to Fidelity!

@Cristi guess who's gonna buy some $ECC series 'C' soon?
Cristi
Posted - 5 days ago
@antifapat I like your spreadsheet. I didn't know $DSHK suspended dividend payments, but that doesn't surprise me. I never bought those despite their high dividend yield because the company wasn't profitable. To answer your question regarding $ECC preferred D ($ECC-D), I think those are fine (I have some of those as well). But I prefer the class C series because it has mandatory redemption on 6/30/2031. So I am guaranteed to get a $3.x capital gain on top of the dividends until then. By my calculations, that makes their dividend yield = 9.21% until 2031. Also, the insiders own a few million dollars worth of $ECCC. I don't think the insiders own any $ECC class D. So it seems their executives prefers the C series as well. Once the C series is redeemed, I will switch to the D series. Also, I have a lot of capital losses from 2020, so that $3 capital gain will be tax free for me

@Cristi why wouldn't you buy $ECC series 'D'? And, I like that $EFC series 'C' and might pick some up soon. You've seen this, right? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1M18jyMWV54AAcrks45VgISIgzbxu_7uy23gSJG1Ed80/edit#gid=0

Shocking! In under 3-hrs from sending www.lsta .org an email requesting their LSTA charts be updated... taadaa!!! Interesting though that January to February was an increase and February to March was an increase. Would have expected both $OXLC and $ECC NAVs to have been a bit higher.

$OXLC $ECC FWIW... I sent our www.lsta .org friends an email requesting they get off their asses and update their chart. Now lacking February and March data! 😁🤣😏💰🐄🍀🍀🥃

$ECC common stock and preferred series 'D' were both up Wednesday. So was $PMT preferred series 'C', $RIV preferred series 'A', and $SAR 8% Notes due 10/31/2027 (I don't own any of their common stock). So was $MAIN (I don't own any of their preferred shares)

@Dragon_Trader_64 @SuperBender He trashes $ECC because he lost money on it, a normal human reaction and emotion, but I wish him the best.
NAV is at 9.27 so premium is currently at only about 7%.

@SuperBender Not exactly sure how to answer the comment. $ECC has a 1 billion market capital, a 19.11% dividend to it's NAV, a DRIP of another 12.96%. It's in a bond asset class which is a hedge to the equity assets ($CRF) for example. So, I guess you just didn't care for it. Not sure why you're trashing any CEF, especially one you sold out of, but that's OK. I have no criticism if you sold it.

@SuperBender @Dragon_Trader_64 Interesting... Since $ECC has earned an average 11.35% over the past 3-years if you just held it. That 11.35% avg. also doesn't include the 5% discounted DRIP (just cash divvi). Here, compared to AGNC (maybe a better example of "trash"). 🤣
PennyWeasel
Posted - 1 week ago
@BuyLow63 @jleonard1990 Additionally, regarding distributions paid... $AGNC shares sold generated $63.34 in divvis. $ECC shares bought with proceeds of above sale generate $80.97 (cash) but since it DRIPs with a 5% discount... $85.02. ECC is a far better invest overall. Especially if it can be had at sub-10 prices. 1-yr, 2, 3, 4, 5-years all the same! 3-yr comparison below!

$CRF Ladies and Gentlemen...I personally do not hedge closed-ended funds once I buy them. Meaning I rarely trade them once I have them. My argument is "Dividends Rule" and the "DRIP at the NAV" is free money that's pays growing dividends as long as the CEF exists. Below is my rankings screen for these. I sort by Distributions to the NAV. I always treat $CLM exactly the same as $CRF. A couple weeks ago $ECC did not even make this list, now it sits on top. Just saying. $CLM is not on it right now, but "Dividends Rule"!
